Goodhue’s Fire Department was organized in 1898. Fire fighting has changed a lot from the bucket brigade to the trucks and equipment we have these days.
At this time, the Goodhue Fire Department has 26 members who are trained as First Responders as well as fire fighting. We respond to approximately 25 fires a year and 100 medical or vehicle emergencies annually.
We meet on the first Tuesday of each month for training and a department meeting and again on the third Tuesday for more training.
